How do I delete a hierarchy structure?

From time to time you may wish to delete obsolete hierarchy structures. Follow these steps to do so:

Note: Deleting a hierarchy will make it impossible to go back and activate that version and restore any analyst permissions that may have been active for that file.

Step 1

Find the table row that contains the hierarchy structure you want to delete. Under its Actions column, click the gear icon:

Step 2

The action menu appears:

Select Delete.

Step 3

If the hierarchy structure has surveys attached to it, the following dialog box will appear:

If you want to continue with the deletion, you will need to unlink the survey(s) first. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 when you have.

Step 4

When no surveys are linked to the hierarchy structure, the following window will appear:

Click the Delete button. The hierarchy structure disappears from the table.
